Blueprints is a change agency that shapes futures by equipping and educating people to improve their lives. Independence is gained when we break barriers and build futures. Blueprints, formerly Community Action Southwest, is a non-profit organization that has been serving our area since 1965. Founded by a group of community leaders, the initial focus of the agency was to mobilize public and private resources to deal with the causes of poverty, not just its impact.

The Mission of the Community College of Allegheny County is to provide affordable access to quality education and offer a dynamic, diverse and supportive learning environment that prepares the region's residents for academic, professional and personal success in our changing global society.

Clothing, connections, confidence! The mission of Dress for Success Pittsburgh is to empower women who are entering and returning to the workforce across the region.

The Energy Innovation Center is a Pittsburgh based, not-for-profit organization with a mission to engage corporate and community leaders, align workforce development and education, develop and demonstrate technology, and incubate businesses, to support emerging clean and sustainable energy markets. 

The Pittsburgh Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) is a partnership between the City of Pittsburgh, the non-profit Neighborhood Allies, and Advantage Credit Counseling to provide free, professional one-on-one financial counseling.

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is a human service agency and network of not-for-profit businesses whose mission is to help people overcome barriers to employment and enjoy the dignity and benefits of work and improved quality of life.

HACP provides publicly assisted housing comprised of traditional public housing, scattered sites and Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8). We currently house more than 18,000 Pittsburghers, manage more than 2,200 public housing units, and provide oversight of an additional 600+ mixed-finance units.

Pennsylvania Women Work is a nonprofit workforce development organization dedicated to helping individuals find financial stability. We empower women to advance in their careers and achieve self-sufficiency through life-changing career development programs and mentorship.

Steel Smiling bridges the gap between Black people and mental health support through education, advocacy and awareness. Our 10 year vision is to connect with every Black person in Allegheny County to a positive mental health experience that improves their quality of life by 2030.

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania mobilizes our entire community—businesses, agencies, volunteers and individual donors—to deliver innovative solutions to age—old problems and create equitable opportunities for all.

Uptown Partners of Pittsburgh is a community-based organization of residents, institutions, and business owners – working together to build a vibrant, sustainable, and just community for all.

We are dedicated to equipping single mothers to move their families from poverty to prosperity through advocacy, education, personal + professional development.

Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by ensuring that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education.
